Mantras for a Merry Christmas!

23.12.20

This holiday season is nothing like the ones before it. This is not the moment for the obvious “Merry Christmas”, “Happy Holidays”, wishes, but the time for soul searching, for us to be kinder to ourselves, healing our insecurities and fears with a little hope.

That’s why we want to do something more for you than wishing you the best. We want to give you some mantras that may help you get pass these hard times and give you the power to make plans for tomorrow.

Stress is at its highest, uncertainties regarding what tomorrow will bring gives us anxiety, the fear of losing our loved ones is tremendous and the distance from the things that we are used to, the people that we love and the family that is usually by our side for Christmas is bigger than ever.

All these things, together with our financial insecurities are enough to make us dread this holiday season. But even though there are many things that are not in our power to change, there is something that we can do to calm ourselves and find our inner balance and strength.

Yes, it was a hard year for all of you escorts, with all the restrictions, lockdowns, and financial insecurities. The winter season is totally different from how you were used to celebrate it, but that doesn’t mean that you have to give up and let Christmas blues catch up with you.

Mantras are a powerful toll that we can use to rewire our mind and get into a more peaceful mood, that can help us see things from a different, more positive perspective.

Today, I am perfect” – start your day looking at yourself in the bathroom mirror, exercising a big smile, even if at first it won’t come naturally, and repeating a few times this mantra, that you are perfect and you are enough. It really helps setting the tone of the day, calming your mind, and boosting your self-esteem. Be kinder to yourself, cut yourself some slack and even though you are a perfectionist, this is a hard time for everyone, so it’s ok to judge yourself less and support yourself more.

Just keep moving and good things will soon come my way” – repeat this mantra every time you feel like everything is against you, like nothing you plan goes the way you want it to go, when a date cancels on you and when you just feel that everything is against you.

I am the sky and everything that happens in my life is just as passing as the weather” – this mantra can be effective when you find a bump in the road and you need the strength to move on. Remind yourself that nothing lasts forever, everything shall pass and after rain, a rainbow will surely appear on the sky. You are the one that matters, and your personality is not directly connected to the people that are passing by in your life or the events that happen to you.

I am strong. I am perfect just the way I am. I am enough” – when our lifestyle is being turned upside down just as it has this last year, is easy to fall into the body-image issue trap. We don’t exercise as we did, we eat more comfort food, we feel down more often and that can get us down. But repeat this mantra every day and really mean what you say!

I am grateful for what I have and for what is yet to come my way” – being grateful opens your eyes to all the good in your life, things that we tend to take for granted and don’t appreciate as much as we should. Saying all the things you’re grateful for calms your nerves and soothes the heart, leaving room for self-love and kindness towards ourselves. Count your blessings and be sure that good will still come your way.

I am fearless. I am determined” – is a good mantra for starting the day, because when said with a strong, powerful voice, it can give you a sense of power, like you are a lioness roaring to the world, showing that vulnerability is a strength and staying positive is a treasure to cherish.

Less can sometimes be more” – the perfect mantra to say when you prepare yourself for sleep, calming your mind especially when you feel like the day has passed without you having things done. Do less with a lot of passion and love, rather than more just for the sake of it.

We hope you’ll practice these mantras and that you’ll find comfort and balance in your life this holiday season. Be kinder to yourself, love yourself just as you are and be sure that everything will pass and change, and good things are yet to come.

 Merry Christmas, darlings!
