December Bucket List – Make your sanity top priority!

28.11.22

December is just around the corner, and we want to make sure that this first month of winter, and one of the busiest and stressful time of the year, will not leave you full of anxiety and dried of energy.

December is good for business indeed, but do you know what other thing is also great? Your sanity!

So, this is not an article on how to book more dates or fill up your agenda with clients, but it is an article on how to make sure that at the end of the day you can say that the day has not passed without you doing something for yourself, something that you love.

Here are a few things that you can do to balance your stress level and hectic schedule, with things that nurture your mind and your heart:

  1. Are you a morning person or a night person?

If you are a morning person, and you like to get up all fresh and ready to go, make sure that you start your day right, with 30 minutes of peace and quiet, just for yourself. Book your first date or plan your arrands in a way that allows you to start the day the right way, enjoying a hot cup of coffee, doing your morning skin ritual, reading an article or watching the news, going for a jog, or whatever makes you happy and full of energy.

If you are a night person, and you like your night routines, then don’t book dates past 8pm, this way you have room to enjoy the end of the day in peace and tranquility.  Light up some candles, take a warm bath, do your skin care routine, listen to good music, read a little, do anything that calms you after a long day and puts you into the right mood for a good sleep.

  1. Watch a Christmas movie

As cheesy as it may seem, you need this! A Christmas movie can help you take a break and just step into the holiday spirit. You can get easily distracted with the arrands and dates, this time of the year, and we don’t want you to see this magical month run past you, while you are busy with work.

So, take a day off to fill up on Christmas spirit. Make yourself some hot chocolate, cover yourself with a warm, fluffy blanket and turn on a Christmas movie that you like. Make it a tradition, so that every December you get a day to fully get into the spirit of the holiday.

  1. Make time to give

Giving is at the heart of what Christmas represents, so make time to give something to others. You could do a closet clean up and donate some of your old clothes to charity, or you could donate some money to some of the organizations you resonate with, or you can volunteer for a social cause, if you feel you have the time for this.

Giving makes life meaningful and it fills your heart with joy. Just find a cause your like and see what you can do to help.

  1. Visit a Christmas festival

Christmas festivals are not just for tourists, you know?! So, make time to visit the Christmas festival in your town. Take a friend and make a night out of it. It can be real fun, drinking mulled wine, eating something delicious and traditional for the winter holiday, and ending the night in a pub, with a good friend, talking and laughing your heart out.

  1. Bring the Christmas smell into your house

You can buy some Christmas decorations or make the Christmas tree, or you could even bake some gingerbread or some cookies. The smell will instantly cheer you up and the pleasure of doing some baking on your own will fill your heart with the satisfaction that you’ve done something outside work, something that gets you into the Christmas spirit.

  1. Do some shopping and DIY

Take half a day off, with no bookings, no messaging, no emailing, and spend it shopping for yourself or for your friends and family. Wrap the gifts and even try to make some Christmas cards on your own. The power of DIY projects is huge, because doing manual work and creating something from scratch can be so rewarding.

Try our suggestions above and let us know what other Christmas musts are on your Christmas Bucket List! Have fun and don’t forget to take a moment and just enjoy this month, enjoy yourself and give yourself a well-deserved pampering moment.
